As an ADHD main, I've let the condition of my house slowly degrade over years and it's hit the point where I -have- to deep clean.

How in the hell do you start??

Every time I think I've found the place to begin, I see that I need to do something else first, and following that thread eventually just leads back to where I started. It's beyond overwhelming. I know decluttering would help, but I have barriers there (main one being every thrift store is evil).

When I do start, I run out of motivation before I make any significant progress.

How do I do, fam? 😖

But also that ties into something I'm trying to convince my own brain of:

Half-assed is better than no assed. 5% progress is better than 0% progress.

@cryptica That philosophy is currently what I use and has kept me going for a long time. I encountered it as "Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly", ie don't let your inability to do a good job stop you from doing a necessary job.

But, gottamn, just place needs some -work-

One of my biggest executive dysfuntions about trying to clean my space is not having enough space to get started cleaning/sorting/organizing. It takes clean to make clean.
