I just finished up the planchette for our Spirit board.
Metaphysically speaking, the design is kind of interesting - it depicts a qabalistic tree of life, with within each of the sefirot a flower of life sacred geometry pattern. The glass lens fits right in the spot where DA'AT would be positioned.
The backside has an upright triangle, a protection symbol / spirit-filter :)
Unlike most boards though, the pointy end of the planchette is meant to point towards the user, so hopefully nobody uses this thing upside down ;) -It's meant to serve as an invocation tool as well as a divination tool.
Mechanically, there's 3 layers of basswood here holding in the lens.
The bottom layer with the triangle on it, has, on the inner side, a pocket engraved out for the lens to sit in. The next (middle/inner) layer has a complete circle cutout to fit the lens snugly, the top layer with the tree-of-life depicted on it has a smaller circle laser-cut out. The whole thing is glued together with 3 types of glue, then the edges routed with a small router bit, sanded, and stained.

Also, I am planning on keeping this account active in addition to my Friendica one. I don't have any specific plans to differentiate what I do on which account, except I'll probably keep the more shitposty type posts over on the friendica, just so I don't clog up retropizzas local timeline.
I'm also considering signing up for a WAFRN account, largely for the ability to interact with the ATproto servers like Blacksky and Northsky, et. al, natively without needing a bsky/blacksky/northsky account, since WAFRN speaks both Activitypub and ATproto without needing a hacky bridge.
And I'm still considering trying to set up an Akkoma so I can do a customized bubble timeline.
This is probably too many social medias.

Actually I figured out I can emulate Akkoma's bubble timeline here in friendica or probably on any single-user fedi server.
relay.fedi.buzz/ is a relay server where you can follow either hashtags or public timelines for instances. So by adding a few relevant-to-me hashtags and a couple-three cool-assed servers with public timelines that don't suck, my "Global Community" page is now populated with the public posts from those servers.

Alright, so I got a VPS and rebuilt the #yunohost and #Friendica setup that I was previously trying to self-host on my RasPi.
I didn't want to try to figure out Friendica's experimental account import/export, and I didn't trust that federation wouldn't break if I just started a new account at the same address as my previous one, so I ended up putting friendica on "the.icosahedron.network" rather than "icosahedron.network" like it was before.
I did put a writefreely install at "icosahedron.network" because it was easier than making a webpage with a link to "the.icosahedron.network" or a redirect on it, and now that I think about it, it uses the same "@cryptica@icosahedron.network" that the previous install of friendica did. So hopefully that doesn't cause issues, but TBH as long as writefreely shows that one blog post with the link in it, I don't really care about potential federation issues.
Anyway, the upshot is that #selfhosting stuff on a raspberry pi is cool so long as you don't need email to happen, but social media servers kinda need functioning email, so here we are.
