I think people are getting the wrong lesson from AWS and Cloudflare outages.

Yes, tech shouldn't be consolidated into near monopolies.

But the real lesson is that consolidation is bad for *everything* in every industry. Monopolies are always bad. The capitalism that leads to monopolies is equally so.

Important infrastructure of any kind should not be operated at the whim of capitalists. It should be public.

Amen: The lesson we can take from the biosphere is that biodiversity is always better than monoculture.
